Consonant Blends English Matching Activity

Practice English vocabulary by matching each picture with the correct word. This activity contains 10 words from the Consonant Blends topic.

The word “consonant” means a letter that is not a vowel (a, e, i, o, u). Sometimes when consonants are next to each other in a word you can hear the sounds of both letters. This is called a consonant blend because you blend the sounds together -- for example, the bl and nd in the word blend. Listen for the consonant blends in these words.
