Digraphs: sh English Matching Activity

Practice English vocabulary by matching each picture with the correct word. This activity contains 10 words from the Digraphs: sh topic.

Remember how sometimes two consonants (letters that are not vowels) can make a special team and make a new sound? When c and h are together they make the new sound /ch/. When s and h are together they make the /sh/ sound, as in “Shh, don’t wake up the baby.” Another example is the word ship. Listen for the /sh/ sound in these words.
