Digraphs: ck English Matching Activity
Practice English vocabulary by matching each picture with the correct word. This activity contains 10 words from the Digraphs: ck topic.
When some consonants (letters that are not vowels) are next to each other they make special teams. When the teams are together, we hear only one sound. This is different from a blend where we hear both sounds, like the bl and nd in the word blend. When the consonants c and k are next to each other in a word they make the /k/ sound like at the end of the word rock. Listen for the /k/ sound in these words and notice how each word ends in ck.
